Tales of a Fearless Puzzler is my little corner of the internet where I will share my journey to becoming a speed puzzler. I have been a fan of puzzles since as far back as I can remember, but until recently had never considered the speed at which I puzzled. I am on a mission to complete a 500-piece puzzle in less than 60 minutes, and here is where I’ll be sharing my jigsaw adventures.

My current speed

Puzzling speed is calculated in “Pieces Per Minute”, or PPM. In this graph, I’m charting my puzzling speed based on how quickly I complete 500-piece Ravensberger puzzles. You can read more about the individual speed challenges here. The x-axis is number of challenges completed, and the y-axis is my average speed in pieces per minute. Currently, my average is 6.3 ppm. For reference, the fastest puzzlers in the world are somewhere around 15.
